Usage
Prior to contacting us with any usage-related questions, please read the folllowing:
- 1 (one) gigabyte (GB) = 1000000000 bytes
- Usage is updated approximately once every three hours
- Usage shown is not guaranteed to be finalized until 60 days after the (monthly) period to which it applies
- Data is retained for one year only
- Usage is counted on the basis of calendar months, not billing cycle months. A rolling two month average is used for billing purposes. You will not see data at the start of a month if your current session started in the previous month - this is normal.
- Currently this tool will display data only for DSL (PPPoE) subscribers
- Example (for illustrative purposes only; individual usage and included usage limits will vary):
- Customer signs up for a plan with 200GB/month included usage limit on March 1st; overage is billed at $0.50/GB in the manner described above
- On March 30 total for sessions which started in March is 300GB
- No billing can occur as this is the first month and a two-month rolling average is required
- On April 30 total for sessions which started in March is 320GB and April 100GB
- (100+320)/2-200=10; 10*0.5=5; total billed on or after April 30 is $5
- On May 30 total for sessions which started in April is 160GB and May 230GB
- (160+230)/2-200 < 0; total billed on or after May 30 is $0
